Hantec Markets, domiciled in London, UK, has been a market leader in Forex trading services for two decades. It is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) on losses of up to $50,000.
Traders at Hantec Markets can trade either Forex or CFDs. CFDs are leveraged products which can be traded by paying only a fraction of the total contract value. The ability to go long or short gives maximum market agility, making CFDs popular amongst speculative traders who want to be able to adapt their strategy quickly.
In addition, gold and silver bullion are also traded at Hantec Markets and are offered with very low spreads.
There is only the one standard account with a minimum deposit requirement of $1000 and leverage of 1:200. This account can be set up as an individual account, joint account for more than one person and a corporate account.
Forex and CFD account denominations are available in 7 different currencies: USD, EUR, GBP, CHF, AUD, CAD and AED. Micro, mini or standard size lots can be traded and there is zero margin for hedged positions.
All account holders can access the Hantec Markets Autochartist service.
A Demo account is offered upon request but it can be used for only 30 days which is considered a rather short time period in the industry and not really enough time for new traders to practice trading and gain enough confidence to move on to a live account.
An Islamic account is also available for those traders who follow Sharia laws and cannot trade in interest/swap incurring accounts.
There are 28 currency pairs available to trade and Hantec Markets provides FX liquidity through a large network of banks and automatic execution.
Hantec Markets offers several partnership opportunities with access to cutting edge trading technology, preferential market conditions, advanced security and fast, expert customer support. Clients can choose to be an introducer and receive a commission on all trade placed by his/her client, an FX Asset Manager with the ability to trade a minimum of 5 FX accounts from a single master account or an FX White Label Broker with customized versions of the MT4 and Currenex trading platforms, fully branded to the FX White Label client´s name.
Hantec Markets offers a wide range of free resources for every client. These include eBooks for beginners, daily and weekly Market Expert reports, economic calendars, specialist opinions, online tutorials and webinars – all designed to arm the trader with the up-to-date market intelligence they need. Educational videos that are also posted on YouTube can be accessed directly from the Hantec Markets website.
The eBook,’ Mistakes to Avoid in FX’, provides step-by-step guidance to Forex with strategies and terminologies explained in full. This is perfect for traders just wetting their feet in Forex trading.
Technical analysis videos include discussions on Bollinger Bands, Breakout Trading, Candlesticks, Moving Averages and Swing Trading.
Technical Analysis Videos
Hantec Markets puts a lot of effort into their market analysis and insight. The daily market review as well as a weekly outlook are both accompanied by videos and graphs. The daily blog, written by Richard Perry, one of the firm’s team of market analysts, seems to be right on the money. Mr. Perry also presents live webinars to account holders from time to time. However, the last webinar posted at the time of this review was May 2014.
An economic calendar is available.
Competitions and promotions seem to come and go at Hantec Markets. At the time of this review, there were no promotions offered. The last one listed was the FX trader of the year and offered a first prize of $10,000, 2nd prize of $5,000 and 3rd place prize of $3,000 to the winners of the competition. This promotion expired in November 2014 and has not been replaced since.
Funding an account with Hantec Markets can be done by wire transfer, credit/debit Card, Skrill, or Neteller.
Withdrawing funds is transacted by completing a Funds Withdrawal Request form and returning it to them by email to email@example.com.
Traders wishing to contact a Hantec Market representative can do so via email or telephone to their London number 10pm Sunday to 10pm Friday (London time). Live Chat is available during these times.
The website is available in English, Arabic, Russian, German, Chinese, Italian and Spanish.
Hantec Markets is committed to providing an excellent and professional service. It offers clients a variety of tools and services to enhance their trading experience and the website is user friendly and easy to navigate. I was disappointed that there was only one standard trading account but pleased to see that a choice of different trading platforms is presented. The 30-day use of a demo account is limiting and doesn’t give beginner traders a good opportunity to hone their skills before moving on to a live account.
