This coin has spent the past month climbing steadily, one of the stronger performers in a market that has finally started to recover. That climb has slowed over the past week.

Solana (SOL), a high-throughput layer-1 blockchain, is no longer making the easy progress it did through the earlier part of the run. Price has flattened out near a level it keeps testing but cannot get above, and today it slipped back rather than pushing higher.

Solana’s 33% Monthly Rally Has Lost Momentum

The pace has changed more than the trend. Over the past month Solana has advanced sharply, up about 33%, a move that carried it out of the range it spent the summer stuck in. Over the past week that advance has essentially stopped.

Price is up barely more than 1% on the week, which after the momentum of the prior weeks reads as a stall rather than a pause for breath.

Today made the shift clearer. Solana pushed toward $102 in the early hours, could not hold there, and drifted lower through the session on light volume. The failure to stay above that level, combined with a week of flat trading, points to buyers who are no longer chasing price the way they were.

Solana Faces $102 Resistance With $100 Support Below

Solana is trading at $101, down close to 2% on the day and roughly flat over the week, though still up around a third on the month. The session was a round trip.

Price reached about $102.20 in the early hours, held its gains until midday, then faded back toward the $101 area and the round $100 level just beneath it.

The $102 zone is now the clear resistance. Solana tested it repeatedly through the morning and failed to break above, and that level marks the ceiling any renewed move would need to clear. On the downside, $100 is the obvious support, a round number that also lines up with the lower end of today's range. Price sits between the two, closer to support than resistance after the afternoon fade, which puts the burden back on buyers to defend the $100 handle.

Fading Volume Raises the Risk of a Solana Pullback

A 33% month makes it tempting to treat this week's flatness as a brief rest before the next leg. The more careful read is that the stall itself is the signal.

Rallies that lose momentum at an obvious level, on fading volume, often do so because the buyers who drove them have largely finished, and today's failure at $102 fits that description. Momentum that disappears quietly is harder to spot than a sharp reversal, but over time it does the same work.

The longer numbers add weight to the caution. Solana remains down about 18% for the year and more than 50% over the past twelve months, and it trades roughly two thirds below the high it set at the start of 2025.

The month has repaired a meaningful slice of that, and the six-month trend has turned positive, but the token is still climbing out of a deep hole rather than breaking new ground.

A Volume-Backed Break Above $102 Would Restore the Bullish Case

A clean break above $102, holding into the next session with volume returning, would put the stall to rest and reopen the path higher after the week of consolidation. That is the move buyers need to produce.

Short of it, holding above $100 keeps the monthly structure intact, but defending a level is not the same as advancing from it, and a rally that can only hold is usually one that has run its immediate course.

Solana’s Next Move Depends on the $100–$102 Range

The next few sessions come down to the $102 ceiling and the $100 floor. A push through $102 would show the monthly rally still has buyers willing to pay up. A break below $100 would confirm the week's stall is turning into a pullback.

Solana has spent today drifting between the two, and the resolution of that range decides whether the month's gains extend or start to unwind.
