Weekly Economic & Political Timeline - 7 January 2018

This week will see a light news agenda of, with the key items coming as key economic data releases for the U.S. Dollar at the end of the week. There is little else on the menu.It is a public holiday in Japan on Monday.

The market will probably be most active on Friday.

 

U.S. Dollar

It will be a reasonably busy week for the greenback, starting on Wednesday with Crude Oil Inventories. On Thursday we will get PPI data. Finally, Friday will see the release of CPI and Retail Sales data.

 

British Pound

It will be a very light week for the Pound, with nothing of major importance due except Manufacturing Production data on Wednesday.

 

Canadian Dollar

It will be a very light week for the Loonie, with nothing of major importance due except the Bank of Canada Business Outlook Survey results on Monday.

 

Australian Dollar

It will be a very light week for the Aussie, with nothing of major importance due except Retail Sales data on Thursday.
