Editor’s Verdict

Overall, EBC Financial Group provides a strong trading solution, although more platforms and a wider range of assets would be welcome. There is a decent instrument selection, including a broad array of ETFs, although the broker is missing cryptocurrencies. Traders also have access to the MT4 and MT5 platforms, benefiting from fast execution and high leverage, while enjoying competitive pricing.

EBC is a St. Vincent and the Grenadines broker headquartered in London. It gives clients access to Forex, gold, silver, oil, natural gas, equity indices, stocks, and ETFs covering equity groups (e.g., sector-specific equity baskets) and bonds. EBC offers its clients two platforms - MT4 and MT5. Traders can utilize an account with raw spreads plus commission or a spread-only account.

It’s important to keep in mind that there is a family of companies operating under the EBC brand, with different regulatory structures, and not all accept retail clients (e.g., some only accept qualified professional clients). This review focuses on the services under EBC.com regulated by the SVGFSA.

What Would I Like EBC to Add?

1. I would like to see it add more platforms outside of MetaTrader, particularly TradingView integration.
2. I would like to see it add options and cryptocurrencies.

Is EBC a Good Broker?

EBC Financial Group offers trading on a broad array of instruments through the renowned MT4 and MT5 platforms. Its Standard Account spreads start at 1.1 pips - about average for the industry, while the Professional Account commission of $6 per round-trip is low compared to competitors. Meanwhile, EBC’s execution is under 20 milliseconds - fast by industry standards.

EBC offers 37 Forex pairs, which are fewer than most brokers. However, this should be enough for most traders. Most impressive is its range of 90 ETF products, which present unique trading opportunities. These include interesting equity baskets, from small-cap and mid-cap specializations for industries such as IT, health care, semiconductors, consumer staples, materials, and gold shares, as well as geographic specializations, such as emerging markets. In addition, access to 50 US S&P 500 stocks gives EBC clients a well-rounded choice of trading instruments. However, EBC unfortunately lacks cryptocurrency offerings.

Lastly, EBC’s leverage is high by industry standards, e.g., 500:1 for Forex and metals, and 100:1 for indices.
