ARUM capital is a new online Forex and CFD ECN brokerage launched in 2007. They are headquartered and regulated in Cyprus by the CySEC. They offer traders the opportunity to trade a wide range of instruments wrapped as CFDs (Contracts for Difference), even including a selection of commodities. ARUM capital offer trading in 70 forex currency pairs, 10 commodities (7 metals and 3 energies), 11 major equity indices, and 5 cryptocurrencies across. All accounts operate on an Electronic Communications Network (ECN) execution model.
Accounts
Two account types are offered, either the “ECN Standard” or the “ECN Classic”. The only differences between the two account types are the spreads and commissions which are charged. The minimum deposit size required to open any account is $500 and the only trading platform which may be used is the MetaTrader 5 platform. Even though there is no choice here, it can be used with mobile or tablet devices through an application, and clients can also choose between a web-based and program version of the platform to use.
As an ECN execution model is offered, floating spreads and fixed commissions are charged on every trade. The ECN.STANDARD account starts at a minimum floating spread of 0.1 pips and a commission schedule which begins at 0.0027% of the traded value. The ECN.CLASSIC account starts at a minimum floating spread of 0.7 pips and a commission schedule which charges zero on everything except cryptocurrencies! So, in fact, the ECN.CLASSIC account is mostly a floating spread only fee model. For most traders, the larger size you trade, the more economic it will become to take the ECN.STANDARD option, but you can always check with ARUM capital first before deciding which account type to open.
Account holders may be upgraded on a month-by-month basis to VIP status, on the condition that they trade a minimum of 200 lots of Forex or its equivalent) per month. This is a high volume and represents a monthly turnover of $2 million traded at least. VIP account holders are entitled to private analytics, individual coaching, a personal account manager, a free VPS server, and a few additional perks.
A maximum leverage of 30 to 1 is available in Forex trading, in line with new European Union-wide regulations. Lower maximums apply to most of the non-Forex instruments which are offered. All accounts offer a minimum trade size of 1 micro-lot (0.01 full lots).
A demo account is available, as is typical with nearly all spot Forex and CFD brokers.
Scalping is allowed, and automated trading is possible.
There is no choice of platform, clients must use MetaTrader 5.
Features
ARUM capital’s most notable feature is its ECN execution offering, at a seemingly competitive spread and commission model requiring a minimum deposit of only $500. This means that in theory, unlike most brokers, ARUM capital never takes the other side of their clients’ trades: they do not profit when you lose, nor lose when you profit, if they are running an ECN model. This effectively means that unlike most Forex and CFD brokers, they should have no innate conflict of interest with their clients.
InterTrader offer trading in a reasonable wide range of assets, but they do not offer some of the more exotic CFD instruments which are becoming more common such as ETFs or soft commodities. They certainly offer a quite wide assortment of minor and exotic Forex currency pairs.
Education
ARUM capital has no educational offering per se, but they do offer daily technical analyses of major Forex currency pairs such as the EUR/USD pair plus a dedicated YouTube channel of video reviews. Currently all the video reviews are in Russian. ARUM capital also offers a few useful client resources such as an economic calendar and a position sizing calculator.
Bonuses and Promotions
Since bonuses and promotions have been prohibited under European Union regulations, and as this is the area which regulates ARUM capital, no bonuses or promotions can be offered.
