Weekly Economic and Political Timeline

This week has more important data due than last week, with central bank input due from the Federal Reserve, the European Central Bank, and the Reserve Bank of Australia.

The market is likely to be most active on Wednesday and Thursday.

U.S. Dollar

It will be an important week for the greenback, starting on Wednesday with the release of the recent FOMC Meeting Minutes. We will get Flash Manufacturing PMI data on Friday.

Euro

It will be an important week for the Euro, starting on Thursday with the release of the ECB Monetary Policy Meeting Accounts. On Friday, there will be a minor speech from the President of the ECB, followed by French and German Flash Services PMI data and German Flash Manufacturing PMI data.

Australian Dollar

It will be an important week for the Aussie, all due on Tuesday when the RBA release their Monetary Policy Meeting Minutes.

Canadian Dollar

It will be a relatively important week for the Loonie, starting on Wednesday with a release of CPI (inflation) data. On Thursday the Governor of the Bank of Canada will be giving a minor speech. Finally, Friday brings Core Retail Sales numbers.
