Zone Options, a brand of Spot Capital Markets Ltd, is a Cyprus Investment Firm and is a relative newcomer to the binary options arena. It opened its doors in 2013 and offers binary options to clients all around the world. Spot Capital Markets Ltd. is licensed and regulated by CySEC and is a member of the Investor Compensation Fund for Customers of Cyprus Investment Firms (CIFs) which compensates clients up to a maximum of $20.000 in case the CIF fails to fulfill its obligations towards the client. Zone Options trades in more than 200 financial assets, across 20 international markets and is also secured in Europe under MiFid.
Accounts
There are three different trading accounts at Zone Options. The Beginner account requires a minimum deposit of at least $250 to start. There is a base payout of 82% and a welcome bonus of up to 50%.
Account Types
A minimum of $2500 is needed to open the Gold account which has a base payout of 85% and a 75% welcome bonus is awarded. To open a VIP account, $10,000 is needed. This account has a payout of up till 85% and there is a 100% welcome bonus.
All three accounts are entitled to a personal account manager, daily market reviews and accesses to Zone Options educational material. There was no mention of any leverage and I didn’t see any information about a demo account.
Features
With Zone Options, traders have a choice of several trading instruments: Binaries, FX/CFD, Long Term, 60 Seconds, One Touch, Pairs and Ladder.
Binaries can be doubled up, rolled over and its position sold.
Education
There is a host of online lessons and videos offered at the Education Center. An interesting feature is the trader’s progress track which moves along as the trader works his way through the different courses. Only registered account holders can access the videos.
Forex Videos
Their ebook offers all the information needed for traders to get acquainted with Binary Options world, to explore the different categories of Binary Options and the needs that they fulfil, as well as to identify trends by using Fundamental or Technical analysis. Included are instructions on how to customize a desktop, perform trades and manage positions.
There are also several articles that appear on each page of the website and a full financial glossary is posted. The FAQ section is divided into five subjects and provides useful information not posted anywhere else on the website.
The website is available in English and Spanish.
Although there is a section entitled, ‘Trading Tools’ the only item that appears there is a Technical Summary Widget.
Deposits/Withdrawals
Deposits can be made via most credit and debit cards, bank transfers and 20 different online e-wallets. Withdrawals funds are transferred according to the original method used to fund the trading account after requesting the withdrawal by filling in a withdrawal form.
There are no fees for either deposits or withdrawals via credit cards. There may be fees associated with wire transfers and it is worth looking into this before using this payment method.
The minimum deposit to all accounts is $100. The maximum withdrawal depends on the deposit method: Credit card - 5,000 USD, Wire – Unlimited and Western Union - 10,000 USD.
Bonuses/Promotions
At the time of this review, the only bonuses offered by Zone Options was a deposit bonus of between 50% and 100% depending on the type of trading account opened.

Conclusion
Although Zone Options is relatively new to the binary options industry, it seems to cover all bases and a trader interested in binaries can easily get used to this broker. The platform is the broker’s own and is easy to use but there are definitely some additions that could be made: a demo account is a useful tool for new traders and more bonuses and promotions would definitely increase sales.

There are many educational features that set it apart from other newbie brokers and the choice of trading accounts is attractive. There are several features missing from the website such as a demo account, additional promotions or bonuses as well as a choice of more than one trading platform. But the website design offers clear tabs and easy navigation and use.

Another nice feature on the ZoneOptions trading platform is the availability of mobile trading. Most binary options trading platforms do not have the ability to support trading on mobile devices like Blackberry, iPhone and iPad. With ZoneOptions, traders will have no problem accessing the trading platform with their Smartphones.
