Global Brokerage Inc Review
In February 2017, FXCM, a leading Forex brokerage, renamed itself as Global Brokerage Inc. They are under new management and no longer accept US traders. Their offices remain in the US and the UK and they are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK and their Australian division is regulated by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
This brokerage operates their own proprietary platform, Trading Station. Trading Station is an award-winning platform with specialized, sophisticated tools for chart trading and easy to understand, simpler sections for newer traders. Their platform was designed specifically for their traders use and includes a large variety of charting and analytical tools for seasoned traders. In addition to the unique charting system, Trading Station offers choices for automation, customization and back testing to benefit their newer customers.
Global Brokerage Inc also offers MetaTrader 4 which is the tried and tested platform used by most brokerages and comes with its own distinct advantages as well such as ease of use and the ability to add thousands of add-ons, EAs and tools.
Social traders with Global Brokerage Inc can use ZuluTrade to follow others and mimic their trades. The website allows traders to compare the different platforms and make an educated decision.
There are some very useful features that Global Brokerage Inc offers their customers. This brokerage offers apps which can be used for mobile trading and information gathering. These apps are available for Iphone, Ipad and Android. In addition they have their own price and order server which allows algorithmic and high frequency traders to be directly connected and to access the extensive suite of sentiment indicators.
You can download a toolbar from Global Brokerage Inc that will give you up to the minute updates on currency rates and Forex news. This toolbar can also send you updates when conditions that you have set are met so that you will know when it is an optimal time for you to take action.
Customer support is readily available via email, chat and international toll free calls. This support is offered in 20 languages and 24/7 which is an excellent benefit of this brokerage firm over many of its competitors. They have vast educational services available on their website including webinars, trading tips and videos.
There are 3 levels of accounts at Global Brokerage Inc. Every customer has access to all the support and education and what varies between the account types is some of the other features.
Mini Accounts can start with as little as 50 GBP and the leverage for Forex trading is up to 200:1. This type of account allows you to trade up to 21 different Forex pairs and includes spreads only, not commissions. Mini accounts offer dealing desk forex executions where the other types of accounts do not.
Standard accounts start with a 5,000 GBP minimum deposit and have a 100:1 leverage for Forex. This account can trade 39 different Forex pairs and has low spreads plus commissions. There are no restrictions on trading.
An Active Trader Account can be opened with 25,000 GBP minimum and has many of the same features as a Standard account. The special features of this account are reduced trading costs, custom solutions and premium research.
All three types of accounts offer 200:1 leverage on CFDs and can be done via desktop, web or mobile applications.
Despite its new name, we found that Global Brokerage Inc will be offering all of the same tried and true services that FXCM has been known to offer for many years.Back to Top
