Ikkotrader has a straightforward interface, and you can trade directly from the landing page by choosing anyone of the “hot” assets available or by scrolling through the links to your favorite asset class.
There’s no room for confusion when placing a trade; for example under the USD/JPY hot assets box for standard binary options, it asks “Will USD/JPY go UP or DOWN?” It’s simple enough to hit the green/up/call button or the red/down/put button to choose your position. Besides standard binary trading, Options Builder, One Touch and Sixty Seconds are also offered though not all assets are available to trade under each option type.
Speaking of which, IkkoTrader offers quite a few assets to trade including currencies (13 pairs), commodities (4), indices (21) and stocks (16), which is generally fine though some veteran traders might prefer a more diverse offering. Expiries range from as little as 15 minute timeframes till the end of the trading day and traders can hold their positions open over the weekend as well.
Special Features
Rollover: The Rollover feature allows a trader the time to correct a potentially bad situation. An option which appears to be on the verge of closing in the red could have its expiry extended once, which hopefully is time enough to reverse trend.
Double Up: The Double Up allows you to double your potential profits at the point when you’re kicking yourself for not having invested heavier. . If you believe your option is about to close profitably, you can take a chance and possibly double your winnings by clicking through this feature. What the Double Up does is create a duplicate trade under the exact same parameters.
Bonuses and Promotions
IkkoTrader is known for its promotions and bonuses for new as well as existing traders. It is important to realize, however, that most of the company’s promotions have strict criteria that must be filled in order to be eligible. For this reason, it’s important that you read the fine print of any bonus or promotion you want to sign on for.
Ikkotrader’s customer service can be accessed via email, phone and online chat. Having said that, two separate attempts to contact a customer service representative via the LiveChat feature was fruitless after a 10-minute wait except for an automatically generated message which said (in French, by the way) that chat operators were online and would answer soon. Not soon enough for this writer, however.
Summary
Ikkotrader is one of the oldest of all binary brokers, and they’re a good choice for traders seeking a simple interface with a fair amount of assets and options trade classifications. Traders looking for good bonuses may also find what they’re looking for here, if they can meet the company’s demands. Where they definitely need to see some improvement is responsiveness to customers who are waiting on them – time is money, and that works both ways.
